David Hoffman has earned the endorsement of every major newspaper in the state!
The editorial boards of these papers have poked and prodded the candidates. They've asked tough questions. They've examined the candides records. Chicago, Springfield, Rockford, Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, Peoria, Metro-East and others - They all agree that David Hoffman is the strongest Senate candiate for the Democrats here in Illinois.
Here is a sampling of the endorsements:
Chicago Tribune “Hoffman is what Illinoisans deserve -- and should expect -- in a United States senator. He's an incorruptible man who tells truth to power, and his commitment to open and honest government is unquestioned.”
Chicago Sun-Times “In Hoffman, the voters have a candidate with a wealth of experience and integrity, who has produced in every job he has had. Everybody talks about the need for more independence, smarter thinking and greater integrity in Washington. Here's your chance.”
Daily Herald “It's a sorry chapter in Illinois political history and especially for Democrats. So as they go to the polls Feb. 2, we believe it's important to look at who can best put aside the taint of the last few years and move forward. We believe that person is David Hoffman.”
The State Journal-Register "Hoffman’s vast experience — from U.S. Senate staffer to federal prosecutor to political reformer — place him head and shoulders above the field in this race. For Democrats voting in the Feb. 2 primary, we believe Hoffman represents the best chance to fend off what promises to be a strong GOP effort to retake this Senate seat in the fall."
Southwest News-Herald "We think Hoffman is the right choice... He has a strong work ethic and is committed to justice, something our Illinois legislators should emulate. He has the chance of becoming a solid U.S. Senator."
The News-Gazette "Hoffman is, far and away, the best Democrats have to offer."
Rockford Register Star "If Democrats want to retain the U.S. Senate seat once held by Barack Obama, David Hoffman is the best choice in the Feb. 2 primary. Hoffman takes the corruption issue off the table. He not only talks about ethics and reform, his record shows he has worked to achieve them."
