We, the undersigned, have grave concerns about Alexi Giannoulias and his electability in a General Election, and ask our fellow Democrats to take a serious look at his resume before you go the polls Tuesday.
Once again, Alexi Giannoulias showed his contempt for Illinois voters by leaving many unanswered questions on the table yesterday. We know he has received $8 million dollars in dividends from Broadway Bank since 2005, which represents 16% of the amount the FDIC says is needed to recapitalize the bank
Today's news about Broadway Bank provides further evidence of what a disaster Mr. Giannoulias would be as the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate.
The editorial boards of the daily newspapers have overwhelmingly drawn the same conclusion. David Hoffman is the best qualified candidate to be the Democratic nominee.
Stevenson joins the growing list of Illinois progressive leaders, including Judge Abner Mikva and Dawn Clark Netsch, who are supporting Hoffman because of his commitment to transparent government and progressive ideals.
David Hoffman, Democratic candidate for United States Senate is calling on Alexi Giannoulias to disclose the sources of his fourth quarter campaign contributions.
"Mr. Giannoulias' new ad attempts to take David Hoffman to task for daring to question his work record. True to Mr. Giannoulias' form, his ad does not address the well documented facts of his relationship with Tony Rezko. They are well-sourced. They are well-reported. They are true."
Dawn Clark Netsch, the first woman nominee of a major political party for governor of Illinois, and respected leader in the fight for political reform, announced her endorsement today of David Hoffman for United States Senate.
"We were very impressed by David Hoffman. His intelligence and commitment to public education make him our strong choice for the Democratic nomination," said IEA President Ken Swanson.
Ellen Mrazek, one of the thousands of Illinois parents who suffered extensive losses as a result of Alexi Giannoulias' mismanagement of the Bright Start College Savings Fund, joined David Hoffman today at a press conference to discuss Hoffman's new TV ad "Promises", which begins running tomorrow in Chicago.
Alexi Giannoulias ducked yet another joint campaign appearance when he backed out of yesterday's Southtown Star editorial endorsement forum.
Alexi Giannoulias claims in his new ad that he turned Illinois’ college savings program into one of the nation’s best – and he says it with a straight face. He should ask Bright Start victims who lost $150 million if this claim is true.
Illinois State Treasurer, Alexi Giannoulias, has a long-standing habit of claiming credit for the good things that happen during his tenure, but when it comes to taking responsibility for the mistakes and failures on his watch, he has been skillful at distancing himself.
Paul Vallas, Democratic Candidate for Governor in 2002, former Chicago Public Schools CEO and Chicago Budget Director, announced his endorsement of David Hoffman for the United States Senate at a news conference today.
After a year in which Alexi Giannoulias has hid from the public about the size of the Bright Start losses, and refused to take responsibility for his mishandling of the fund, we have finally gotten some facts and a small amount of sunshine is being applied to this fiasco.
A new video released today by the Hoffman campaign chronicles just why Alexi Giannoulias doesn't want to discuss his limited professional experience -- because what it lacks in length and accomplishment, it makes up for in scandal and poor decisions.
Truth matters in a campaign, and Alexi Giannoulias drove right past it today. He did a grave disservice to the voters by deceiving them that Bright Start is one of the best managed funds in the country today.
Following on the heels of last week's New Trier Township endorsement, Democrats in Northfield Township endorsed David Hoffman for United States Senate on Saturday. Hoffman received more than 95% of the vote.
The New Trier Township Democrats have endorsed David Hoffman for the United States Senate.
In his first TV ad in the Democratic race for the U.S. Senate, former federal prosecutor and Inspector General of Chicago David Hoffman speaks directly to voters about his record of standing up to corruption and political insiders and his commitment to bring that same kind of advocacy to Washington, D.C.
"I, along with millions of Americans, closely watched President Obama's speech tonight in which he announced plans to send an additional 30,000 American troops to Afghanistan to secure population centers outside of Kabul, roll back the influence of the Taliban in the countryside, and accelerate the training of Afghan forces."

Kirk Panders to Fears, Ignores Facts
Giannoulias has chosen not to participate in the Northern Illinois Coordinated Campaign committee (NICCC), debate scheduled for tonight in Rockford. The event would have provided voters with their first opportunity to see the candidates in a frank, face-to-face discussion on the critical issues facing Illinois and the nation.
